For Riaan, founder and overland guide of Van Africa (a division of All in Safari Travel Pty Ltd), the call of the open road has always been more than a passion, it’s a way of life 

His journey began back in 1992, when he set out to explore Africa alone in a humble VW Golf. A few years later, in 1996, he bought his first 4x4 and began crossing borders, discovering the raw beauty, vast spaces, and untamed spirit of Africa that would forever change his life.

Together with Charlene, sharing the same passion for travelling and Africa, the Van Africa team will always endeavour to make any journey an adventure.

What started as a personal adventure soon became a lifelong mission: to share the true Africa with others. The Africa of dusty roads and wide horizons. The Africa of warm smiles, wild places, and endless stories waiting to be lived.
